Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited Russia’s main film archive on Tuesday, to discuss the main problems facing the national film industry.
Prime Minister Putin visited the Gosfilmofond film archive outside Moscow, which houses more than 60,000 films.
He met with the director of Gosfilmofond, Nikolai Bordachev, Sergey Tolstikov, head of the Russian Cinematography Support Fund, and other officials.
One of the main issues under discussion was increasing the popularity of Russian films domestically and abroad.
The premier said the national film industry is important to the country both in business and cultural terms.
